University of Warwick undergraduate Dil recently caught up with us about his Internship with EY. We wanted to hear about how he found the application process and why EY was the firm for him.
Why did you choose this firm and this role?
EY stood out to me because they're a very people-orientated firm. They emphasise the human capital that they provide and I enjoy interacting with people on a professional level - and I think EY offers great opportunities for this. I chose consulting as I enjoy problem solving and applying my knowledge of Economics to the real world.
What was the toughest part of the application process and what was your favourite part?
The toughest part was the assessment centre. Not knowing what to expect and knowing you're being assessed for small things is slightly daunting, however I really enjoyed talking to people that shared my passions.
Were you surprised by anything in the application process?
The assessment centre was actually quite enjoyable once my nerves had settled.
What three top tips would you give your fellow Bright Network members?
Apply early, ask for help and make sure you stand out.
What's your lucky charm or pre-interview ritual?
I try to think about a time I've been successful and channel that energy into the interview.
